Thanks to its slightly cupped face, the Patchinko provides some popping even when used with a walking the dog action, adding welcomed bubbles.
A short twitch-twitch action followed by a pause of various lengths is sometimes the most efficient way to turn on the bite, especially in calm waters. In case of finicky fishes, which the Patchinko excels, the wait can go as long as one minute and lands you a fish that others won’t decide to bite on the same day with conventional topwater lures. On the opposite, when predator fish are active, most of the time the faster actions bring more catches in – so speed it up! When the lure gets closer to the angler, it is generally recommended to give softer rod twitches to compensate for the limited amount of slack line needed for a side to side motion.
- Surface lure designed to achieve long casting distance
- Slender body
- Darts and sways side to side
- Great for bass fished over shallow, rocky, or rough ground
- Best results with fast action rod
